It is with a very heavy heart that the Gora Family shares the passing of their beloved daughter, Catherine. As they navigate this incredibly difficult time, I am reaching out for support to help the family give Catherine a meaningful farewell.
Catherine had recently completed four months of residential treatment at the McAlister Institute, courageously working to overcome addiction. She returned home with hope in her heart and the determination to rebuild her life. Though her journey was filled with love and support, addiction is a powerful disease, and ultimately, it claimed her life far too soon.
Catherine, having just turned 28 years young, is survived by her eldest sister Crystal, her mother Edie, and her father Bill. Her passing comes just over a year after the loss of her older sister, Caitlin, in July 2024. While the weight of this second loss is unimaginable, the family finds a small measure of peace knowing that Catherine and Caitlin are now reunited — two beautiful sisters, free from pain, together once again.
The family is now seeking help to honor Catherine’s life with the dignity and love she deserves. Contributions will go toward funeral and memorial expenses, allowing family and friends to gather, grieve, and celebrate the light Catherine brought into their lives.
Any donation, large or small, is deeply appreciated. The Gora family is grateful for the love, prayers, and kindness extended to them during this heartbreaking time.
