My mom, Catherine Lovvorn, suffered an aneurysm and two strokes back in March. She is currently in a nursing home and has undergone many surgeries and procedures thus far. The purpose of this fundraiser is to help reduce any financial stress the family has been through during this process.

We are not sure at this time what direction her condition will take; however, any money raised will be used for general assistance for her and the family. She's steadily improving day by day, and can now speak through a speaking valve (although at the moment it hurts her to speak, so she rarely does), eat solid food without assistance from a feeding tube, and is demonstrating that she has retained quite a bit of cognitive function despite all odds. She is still struggling with mobility, and we are hoping that as she continues physical therapy, we will eventually be able to take her for strolls in a wheelchair; however, at this time she is still bedridden.

All things considering she is improving way more than originally expected. Recently she has been beating everyone at Mario Cart and Tic Tac Toe, and has been enjoying being able to get her Dr. Pepper fix in
