Our dear friend Catherine Rose was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and has now started her healing journey.
One big way to help is to contribute funds.
Although she has basic health insurance, Catherine faces many out of pocket financial challenges, including medical co-pays, and non-covered integrative healing modalities. She will be working closely with a Naturopath Oncologist (like a Functional Medicine Doctor) alongside her oncologist to ensure the cancer does snot recur, once it is removed. To get an idea, each visit is around $450 plus additional supplements and procedures (ie VitC IV's) You get the drift.
She is a self-employed body worker, no disability, and so this loss of income has a a significant impact.
Curious where Catherine is on the cancer treatment timeline:
2 biopsies in the spring, one partial mastectomy June 18th and she was just informed that they found another small tumor and so sometime towards the end of July, she will have a second and hopefully final lumpectomy.
Currently she is taking it very easy and recovering from the surgery. Lots of sleep, super clean foods, green juice and lots of cuddling from her loved ones.
She has also started a digital collage project called the Breast Love Series which she has had 3 offers for shows! She would like to plan a future fundraiser to sell off decades of her artwork but for now, she is pretty fatigued, so that will have to wait until she can gather a team for that.
In the meantime, let's help her get through one of the hardest parts, the financial burden: living expenses, surgery recovery and comprehensive medical support for her healing immune system/adrenals.
Please give as generously as you can.
