I'm sure we all know someone in our lives who has battled cancer. It's far too common. And no one ever wants to face it—or watch someone they love go through it.

And that is why I am writing to you today.

My dear sister Catherine has been facing breast cancer for over two years now—with incredible grace, strength, wisdom, and courage. I am beyond proud of how she has navigated this chapter of her life. I don’t know that I would have the same fortitude or Divine Trust that she carries. And that is why I truly believe she will overcome this.

She is at a crossroads now—where she needs to let more help in. And that’s where we come in.

Catherine has trusted her path throughout this journey. She has explored gentler modalities, committed deeply to her meditation practice, and followed a specialized diet. Through it all, she has continued to live fully—showing up, contributing, and staying active in our vibrant community. She even completed building her transport truck converted tiny home with her own hands—lifting, building, creating.

This woman is a force. She does everything with a joyful essence.

The update now…

Catherine has had to slow down. The cancer has progressed and is now affecting multiple areas of her body.

She is currently experiencing:

Fluid in her lungs, making breathing difficult and limiting her physically

A large tumour in her abdomen

A tumour in her neck affecting her vision

Severe lymphedema in her left arm, causing significant pain and limited mobility

Thank goodness her home is now complete and grounded on the land she calls home.

There have also been some wins along the way. The initial tumour in her left breast responded to treatment, and recent concerns in her right breast were confirmed to be benign.

We are here for the wins—and there will be more!

After our last “This is My Vulva” rehearsal, we took time to connect (the photo above—with the giant red silk vulva), and I began to understand the true weight of what she’s facing.

I started suggesting different therapies that have helped others. She wanted to say yes to all of them—but simply couldn’t financially. None of these are covered.

That’s when it became clear.

I said, I want to start a GoFundMe for you.

She cried and said, “I don’t want to ask for help. I’ve always done things myself.”

I told her: you’re not asking—I am.

So often we don't want to trouble others by asking for help, even when we need it most. But in doing that, we also hold back the opportunity for others to show up with love, kindness, generosity, and care.

I felt this call to action so deeply in my bones; it was time to act. I asked her if she had $5000 right now, what treatments would she need?

Catherine can manage her basic living expenses, but the additional care that could truly support her healing and quality of life is currently out of reach.

Catherine gives a lot of her time, energy and love to the Community. If you needed help with anything, she would find a way to be right there. She loves collaborating and supporting other people’s visions & dreams come true.

She is a quintessential team player.

And being part of a team means showing up for each other.

We show up the way we hope others would show up for us.

We are more connected than we realize.

So, let’s come together and make Catherine’s dreams come true —so she can regain her health and strength and continue being the vibrant, loving, Creatrix that she is!!
