Hello, I'm Catherine Brookman! I recently completed work on my debut album, "If A Song Fades Out, It's Playing Forever Somewhere," which I will be releasing in the fall of 2025!

As an important part of this release, I am making a music video directed by Josephine Decker and choreographed by Faye Driscoll.

The song "I Woke Up In the Sky" is the last song on the album and tells the real story of when I went skydiving, passed out in the sky, and woke up in the sky!

We are shooting this video in Los Angeles with an amazing team of creatives, four dancers and me.

We are hoping to raise $7k to complete production. This will help us pay for the cinematographer, gaffer (lights), costume designer, space rental, equipment and dancers.

It's harder than ever to make art—with tech companies' streaming models that pay musicians $0.003 and $0.005 per stream and, now, the blatant devaluing of artwork as evidenced by the withdrawal of NEA funding and countless more examples. We need your help!
