On Tuesday, January 6, Catalina Villanueva arrived at work like any other day. Shortly after coming in, she began experiencing severe pain and had to be transported by ambulance to the local hospital. There, doctors determined she was suffering from cholecystitis and pancreatitis and required urgent surgical care. She was transferred to a hospital in Houston, where she has remained in intensive care as she works her way toward recovery.
Catalina is uninsured, and like so many hardworking people, she is now facing overwhelming medical bills on top of the physical and emotional toll of this medical emergency. The financial burden ahead is significant, and no one should have to carry that weight alone.
We are asking our community to rally around Catalina during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, no matter the size, will help ease the financial strain and allow her to focus on what matters most: healing and recovery.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is also a powerful way to show support. Thank you for standing with Catalina and for being the kind of community that takes care of its own.
