My name is Yvonne, and I am originally from Catadupa, South St. James, Jamaica, though I now reside in Florida, USA. I still have family and close connections in Catadupa, and I am working with trusted community members to assist those most affected by Hurricane Melissa.

The community of Catadupa has been severely impacted, with nearly 70% of homes damaged or completely destroyed. Many families have lost everything — their homes, clothing, and access to basic resources.

Currently, there is no electricity or running water, and residents are facing growing concerns about health, sanitation, and access to food and clean water.

This fundraiser will help provide immediate emergency assistance to residents of Catadupa through a locally coordinated effort. Funds will be used to purchase and distribute supplies directly within the community to ensure they reach those most in need.
