Hi everyone,

My name is Cassie and asking for help like this is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. But right now, I'm facing a medical situation that I can no longer shoulder alone.

When I was 10 years old, I was involved in an accident with my father that caused Dextroscoliosis. Since then, my life has been a constant cycle of pain management-chiropractic care, physical therapy, acupuncture, and countless other treatments just to function day-to-day.

Recently, things have taken a turn. I've learned that I now have a herniated disc, that is causing compression and pinching nerves throughout my back. Because of this, I've been experiencing episodes where I lose significant function in my legs and feet during times when I have to stand or walk for a short distance. Some days I can barely move without sharp pain shooting down my back into my legs. and other times my legs feel weak, unstable, or almost disconnected. This has drastically reduced my mobility, my range of motion, and my ability to take care of daily responsibilities.

Last week, after the pain became unbearable, I went to the doctor. Together, we made the decision to pursue the possibility of back surgery. This means multiple appointments, more testing, and ongoing therapy.

As you may know, I am a full-time student and the sole caretaker of my children after the loss of their father in 2021, leaving every responsibility on my shoulders. Trying to manage school, parenting, and a major medical crisis has become overwhelming-financially, physically, and emotionally.

I am doing everything that I can to stay strong for my kids, but I would be lying if I said getting out of bed in the morning was an easy task, but the medical bills, and recovery needs are far beyond what I can handle alone any longer. Any help- whether it's a donation, a share, or simply keeping us in your thoughts-means more to us than I can express.
