Cassie Dipaola is our children's swim coach and a dear friend who has touched the lives of countless young athletes in Madison, Mississippi. As a coach of the Mississippi Makos year-round swim team and the founder of the Madison summer league team, the Ducks, Cassie has dedicated herself to helping children grow both in and out of the pool. Her tireless advocacy and passion for teaching have made her a pillar of our community. In addition to her jobs at the Healthplex, Cassie is also a coach and swim instructor at The Club in Ridgeland.
Recently, Cassie received the difficult news that she has cancer. While she is insured, many of her surgical and medical fees are not covered, leaving her with a significant financial burden. As she faces surgery and ongoing treatments, our goal is to help relieve some of the stress so she can focus on her recovery. Every contribution will go directly toward the costs of surgery, treatments, and additional medical care, ensuring Cassie can access the support she needs without worrying about surprise bills.
Cassie's first day of many procedures will be October 8. Surgery will follow on October 20 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Her first procedure alone will cost $6,000 out-of-pocket and we would really like to be able to cover this cost in full for her.
We are reaching out to family, friends, and the wider community to rally around Cassie during this challenging time. Your support will make a real difference, allowing her to continue her incredible work with young athletes and focus on healing. Thank you for helping us show Cassie how much she means to all of us.
