Sometimes life changes in an instant. One of my best friends, Cassie, has tragically and unexpectedly lost her father — after already enduring the sudden loss of her mother 10 years ago. To lose both parents far too soon is a heartbreak no one should ever have to face, especially not alone.

Cassie has always been the kind of person who shows up for everyone around her with love, strength, and compassion. Now, during one of the hardest moments of her life, she needs the same support surrounding her.

As she navigates unimaginable grief, funeral arrangements, and everything that comes with losing a parent so suddenly, we want to help ease some of the unexpected financial burdens she is now facing. Along with funeral and memorial expenses, there are also everyday costs and responsibilities that don’t stop during times like these — bills, groceries, time away from work, and the many unforeseen expenses that come with such a devastating loss.
