Support Cassie and Chris in Their Health Crisis

I will start by introducing myself. My name is Kari and I am friends with Cassie's mom, Marcella. As many of you know Cassie and her fiancé, Chris, were recently expecting a beautiful baby. Unfortunately, the world had other things in mind and the baby girl lost her heartbeat. Ultimately they lost her and this is where things spiral. After a few poor decisions made by Strong Hospital, Cassie has found herself in a horrible health crisis and she is unable to work. Chris is also unable to work as he is caring for Cassie. Cassie became septic which has caused her liver to start failing. Today they have found masses in her lungs related to pneumonia. Antibiotics are not helping. Every day, there is another health issue that has arisen from Strong's poor decisions on this poor girl's health. She will be at Unity hospital for the near future and they need your help.

After multiple surgeries and now the fact that her own health is failing, please let's try to help Cassie and Chris so that bills, rent, food, anything can be the last thing they need to worry about.

Update from Cassie 7/13/2024:

The last thing I wanted to do was bring this loss to social media. I shared with the whole world the news of the baby girl we were expecting. How was I supposed to tell everyone that we lost her? That we thought we were in the second trimester and all was well, but when we went in for a routine ultrasound we found out that our baby had passed away weeks ago and my body just didn’t get the memo. It just hurt too much. I wanted to pretend it didn’t happen. But it did happen. And the process afterward has taken a huge toll on my body. Through an unfortunate series of events I have been in the hospital for days with sepsis, needing multiple surgeries to remove tissue left behind, and now have developed pneumonia as a secondary infection. I’m not asking you to donate, there’s no obligation. But here is our story and it is not fair. It’s been so hard to have my body constantly reminding me of what we’ve lost.

Update 7/14/2024:

Cassie's oxygen is still dropping below 80 which is cause for concern. She is able to get up and walk small areas around her room but her body is telling her she isn't ready to do much yet. Both Cassie and Chris are trying to stay positive amongst the loss and pain they have endured. Thank you all so much thus far for your love and support.
