Dear friends and family,
You know that I am an extremely hard working and dedicated self-starter with a range of passions both personal and professional. In the last several years, you may have seen me work through a variety of accomplishments including finishing my Bachelor’s degree early (and during the pandemic), leading conservation programs throughout the Southwest, becoming an aerial silks performer, following generations of family history into the National Park Service at Mesa Verde, reinvigorating my love for drawing through botanical illustration, and helping to open Moondog Cafe & Bakery - hottest restaurant in the four corners.
Each phase of life has been beautiful and exciting, and the next one is coming up soon. I have accepted an amazing opportunity to start graduate school in February! I will be starting a Master of Science degree in Zoology, to put me on track for a career as a wildlife and animal scientist. I will be studying at the University of Otago in Dunedin, NEW ZEALAND!
Graduate school is a place I’ve always seen myself going, but I am certainly stepping outside my comfort zone to attend internationally.
Through all facets of my life I have built a great, strong, caring community. Near and far, young and old, close and acquainted, I have formed a circle that I love and am proud to be a part of.
I do not ask for much. I usually give as much as I can and then some. But I can’t take on this next adventure alone. This is an enormous undertaking generally, but also financially.
I am trying to achieve a dream here. For my future self, for my child self, for other girls of all ages that I know. For my family, for growth, for knowledge, and for a world bigger than what I can understand right now. I am asking for your help to get there. Every bit will have an impact, I can assure you of that.
Thank you so much.
