Hello! My name is Cassidy Eckstein, and I’m a veterinary student at the University of Florida. I am raising funds to participate in a mission trip with Students for International Veterinary Opportunities (SIVO), a student-led nonprofit effort dedicated to providing veterinary care in underserved areas.

This year, I have the incredible opportunity to travel to Roatán, Honduras, where our team will run a three-day veterinary clinic offering free spay/neuter surgeries, vaccines, and preventative care for local dogs and cats. This trip has occurred yearly over the last decade and roughly 300 animals were seen during last years clinic! These services are essential for controlling the stray animal population and improving public and animal health in the community.
