I’ve created this campaign on behalf of my sister and brother-in-law, Ashley and Ryan Hernandez.

Last night, Sunday June 8th, their 6 year old son Caspian fell while climbing a tree. He suffered a completely severed and dislocated femur and a potentially broken pelvis. He will begin his first of a series of 2-3 surgeries today and will need to spend an extended amount of time in the hospital for rehabilitation and infection monitoring.

Currently, they have 5 young children & are a one-income family with no health insurance or vacation days. Ryan is in between contracts and is not a salaried employee with benefits. The medical expenses Caspian is incurring for his treatment will be crippling for them.

The funds collected will allow Ryan to take days off to be with Caspian, help with childcare as Ashley and Ryan go back and forth to the hospital, and go towards bills for Caspian’s surgeries and hospital stays.

Any amount you are able to donate will help this special family during this difficult time and mean the world to them. They’re not the type to ask for help, but they have always been there for others and now I want to be there for them. Thank you.
