Hello! My name is Sia Lelano, the sister of Casimir Bangoura, a victim of the 808 Memorial Drive shooting on May 11, 2026. That Monday afternoon, Casimir was making his way to the car wash when he was confronted by the gunman. He suffered a total of 5 gunshot wounds, which resulted in a broken femur in his right leg, a broken tibia, multiple injuries, and the need for extensive emergency surgery.

By the grace of God, Casimir survived, but his recovery journey will be long and difficult. He is currently unable to work and will need ongoing medical care, rehabilitation, and time to heal both physically and emotionally from this traumatic experience. Casimir is a hardworking and caring person who has always tried to do right by others, and our family is doing everything we can to support him during this time.
