Support Cashton's Critical Medical Journey

as most of you know, our youngest child Cashton has had significant medical problems since he entered this world. i have tried to advocate for my child since day one hoping and praying someone would listen to me. on January 17th 2025, Cashton completely stopped breathing and had to be rushed to the hospital where they were finally able to get him back. He was transferred to the PICU at Prisma Children’s in Columbia where we stayed for about a week. Cashton has experienced blue spells as well as stopping breathing since he was born but finally after the PICU admission the doctors started looking more closely into his condition and what may be causing it. He was diagnosed with severe laryngomalacia, doctors suspected his condition was so bad he would more than likely need surgery. The pulmonologist scheduled him for a swallow study along with a sleep study. We did the swallow study this morning March 10th and found out he is severely silently aspriating everything he drinks straight into his lungs, he also had one of his blue spells and he stopped breathing. they immediately sent us to the children’s hospital emergency room to be checked out, where Cash obviously kept having the blue spells (these are not new to us, he has multiple of these spells daily). they did admit him back to the PICU where we will stay until further notice. they are ordering tests of his heart, brain, lungs, and all the things. because he is silently aspirating so bad, they have placed a feeding tube where he will get all his nutrients from. We are trying to figure out if he is going to need surgery tomorrow.
As of now, sitting in his PICU room with him watching his O2 stats go from 100% all the way down as low as 65% and nurses rushing in and out of the room every few minutes. This is extremely hard on our whole family, and as ashamed as I may be, I know we are going to need support. With that being said I am going to post my CashApp if you would like to donate to help with Cash’s medical costs, hospital stays, traveling to and from specialist 2-3 times a week, as well as just simple household bills that are having to be put on the back burner as we are a 1 income family until who knows when.
Obviously, we need prayers more now than ever and if you are not able to donate, please just keep our family in your prayers.
