Support Casey's Heart and Health Recovery

Donation protected
As many of you have asked how you can help - with Casey and Laura’s permission - we are coming together to support them during this difficult time. The journey ahead is long and unexpected, and they face not only medical challenges, but also the practical burdens of hospital visits, travel, and daily expenses. Your support—through donations, prayers, or simply sharing this page—will help ease these burdens and allow them to focus on recovery. Every bit of love and generosity means more than words can express.

Casey’s health journey began years ago with an aortic valve replacement in 2018. More recently, he faced and bravely beat an aggressive Non-Hodgkin’s B-Cell Lymphoma, completing treatment this summer with scans showing he is cancer free!

While we celebrated that victory, Casey’s heart has continued to be a major challenge. The combination of his original valve issues and the strain of chemotherapy led to worsening heart problems. Earlier this month, he went into acute heart failure.

On August 27, during preparation for open-heart surgery, Casey went into cardiogenic shock and his heart could no longer pump on its own. Casey was flown to Froedtert, and his care team made the decision to attempt a very high-risk TAVR procedure (a valve replacement done through the arteries rather than open surgery). By the grace of God and the incredible skill of his doctors, the procedure was successful and blood flow was restored to his heart.

Casey is now stable in the CVICU. He still has fluid in his lungs that they are working to clear, but he is initiating his own breaths and has responded to simple commands. The doctors are slowly weaning him off medications as he begins the next stage of recovery.

What You Can Do
First and foremost, we ask for your continued prayers and encouragement as Casey and his family navigate this journey. Casey still has a long and uncertain road to recovery. With extended hospital stays, future treatments, and follow-up care ahead, the financial impact continues to grow. Every contribution will help cover medical expenses, travel and hotel costs, and other day-to-day needs during this difficult time.

Your prayers, generosity, and willingness to share this page mean more than words can express. Thank you for walking with Casey, Laura, Max, Eli and Noah on this journey. ❤️
