Support Casey's Healing and Her Family

Hi I'm Kaeanna, Caseys best friend. Calling on our community to help Casey and her family out in a time of unexpected need. Casey has been an incredible role model and member of the Des Moines community for 10+ years. She was our fearless MRHS Dance Team coach and poured out her heart to teaching, mentoring and guiding our high school students. Casey recently moved to the East Coast due to her husbands job relocation. They packed up and moved across the country and started over, only to settle in and be slammed by a bizarre medical emergency. Casey was admitted to the hospital a few days ago after several ER attempts and being turned away, her sickness and pain was getting worse and unbearable. She was finally heard and they quickly admitted her and began treating her for double mastoiditis behind both ears, potential hearing loss and a severe infection that has made its way into her skull. She is expected to continue her hospital stay at least another week as she waits for updates from the infectious disease doctors and team. At this time it is expected she will need ongoing in-home care for at least a month once out of the hospital for ongoing IV antibiotics and monitoring which is not covered by insurance. Her husband been has been home to care for their family. They are greatly financially impacted with this health crisis and it’s unknown. Casey was just beginning her new start and had job interviews lined up that had to be postponed as well while she is in the hospital. This family has been a pillar in our community and given their time and passion to others, its time we help them! Casey will have, no doubt, enormous hospital bills and ongoing in-home nurse care while she heals.
