Our dear family member and friend, Casey, is still facing the battle of her life against a brain tumor, and we're reaching out to our community for support during this incredibly challenging time.
As you all know, Casey has always been an energetic, go getter. She’s been a dedicated worker, a devoted wife and a loving mother and friend. Now it's our turn to continue to rally around Casey and her family when they need us most.
Due to the effects of her tumor and her continuous treatment, Casey had no choice but to step away from work after traumatically experiencing two seizures at the school she worked, back in November. Not only is Casey devastated that she can no longer serve the students at the middle school she worked, this has created an overwhelming financial burden for her family.
Brain tumor treatment is extensive and expensive. The family is facing:
-Ongoing medical treatments
-Regular infusions and follow-up appointments
-Medications and medical equipment
-Gas expenses to distant treatment centers
-Daily living expenses while Casey cannot work
-Therapy expenses for her children/husband who are doing their best to cope with the circumstances
No family should have to face the additional burden of financial stress and hardship while receiving treatment and navigating an uncertain prognosis. Currently Casey’s immediate family is doing their best to take shifts to caretake for her as she requires 24 hour support. Her husband Tadd is doing the best he can to keep his job, put food on the table, support his 16 and 18 year old son/daughter, care for the family dogs and not shatter at the thought of Casey’s reality. Financial stress is adding to the already very difficult situation. With the holidays around the corner, Casey and Tadd are worried about how they will afford to manage normalcy and celebration for their children during a dark time.
Our Goal: $15,000
We're asking our community to come together and help us raise $15,000 to ease this financial pressure so Casey can focus on what matters most – continuing the fight and spending precious time with loved ones.
This goal will help cover approximately 6 months of critical expenses while Casey continues to undergo treatment.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference:
$25 can help with a copay
$50 can cover a tank of gas to treatment appointments
$150 can help with groceries for a week
$250 can help with utilities
$500 can cover a month of insurance premiums
$1,000 can help with a month's worth of living expenses
If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with your network. Sometimes the perfect person to help is just one share away.
A Message of Gratitude:
Casey and her family are overwhelmed by the love and support already shown during this difficult journey that first began in 2016. Your kindness – whether through donations, shares, prayers, or simply checking in – means more than words can express. It’s been a heart wrenching time to navigate as a family but the support of our community has kept us going time and time again.
We truly believe in the power of community, and we believe in Casey's strength. Her village has given her strength, hope, encouragement and reassurance. Together, we can help ensure that financial stress doesn't add to the weight of her battle.
Thank you for considering a donation and for being part of Casey's village during this critical time.
Updates will be shared regularly to keep everyone informed of Casey's progress.
All funds raised will go directly to Casey's medical expenses and family support during treatment.
