I'm Casey, and I'm asking for help after severe flooding damaged my home in Clovis, New Mexico. After the flood, there was 2 to 3 inches of water throughout the house, and part of my ceiling collapsed because of a roof leak. What makes this even harder is that I had already spent the last five years rebuilding this home by myself after a previous fire. I had only finished it about a year ago, and now my family and I are facing so much loss all over again. The flood didn't just damage the house itself. It also ruined many of our belongings inside, including furniture and clothes.

I live here with my disabled grandfather, my girlfriend, and my two children, ages 7 and 12. On top of this disaster, I recently lost my mother and my job, so this has been an incredibly painful and overwhelming time for us. I also did not have flood insurance because I did not know the home was in a flood zone.
