They told me I had three months to live back in January 2022. I’m now well past my expiration date — over 3.5 years later. It’s been a journey of trial and error, setbacks and progress. That’s become the rhythm of this life, and through it all, I’ve always given it everything I have.
But unfortunately, this time, it hasn’t been enough.
My diagnosis, glioblastoma, one of the most aggressive brain cancers, has completely changed the course of my life. Over the years, I’ve exhausted every resource trying to beat it. My most recent scan showed two masses that have grown significantly over the past six months. So now, it’s time to get back in the fight and figure out how to overcome this again.
This time around, the mass is inoperable, it’s located in my left lateral ventricle. That means brain surgery is no longer an option. I can’t do chemo or radiation either, so I’m going to have to get very creative with how I approach this next chapter.
I’m calling on my community once again for support as I take on this battle. Your prayers, your shares, your help, it all means more than you know.
Please share this with everyone you can. Anything helps at this point.
Always Love,
Casey West
