Donate to Save Casey Murphy's Life

Update: Hey everybody. Thanks for the shares and donations. I am showing signs of improvement and I don’t have cancer in my spleen. I was diagnosed with a life threatening condition called IMHA that will require treatment for the rest of my life. I will have to take immunosuppressants and an anticoagulant because I can get blood clots. They say if I can eat well my red blood cells stay at least stable, but hopefully go up I may be able to go home tomorrow. I still have a long road and it’s still going to be expensive, but I am fighter and getting to see my Momma and Nonner today cheered me up some. Thanks for reading for my story and for any donations you can contribute!

Oh boy has it been a rough last 4 days for me. Any contributions to help take the financial stress off my family who will do anything for me is greatly appreciated. Here is my story. I wasn’t feeling well Tuesday and didn’t want to eat. Wednesday morning my belly disagreed with me and my Momma took me to urgent care at my normal vet. They did some blood work and found out I am anemic. They sent me home with some anti nausea meds and I thought cool I will be good now, but the meds didn’t make my appetite better (and anyone that knows me knows I am foodie). So Friday we went back to urgent care. They did an ultrasound and found bladder stones. I also have a uti and my red bloods cell dropped even more since Wednesday. The doctor was worried about the swelling in my abdomen so she recommended we go to the doggie emergency room for a consult. Man that’s not the way to spend your 9th birthday. Momma, Nonner, and Grampy me brought me to the Piper Olson Er. The people there gave me extra hugs and pets because it was my birthday so that was cool. They ran some tests and it turns out I have a mass on my spleen. They also said that my anemia may be related to an autoimmune disease. The er doctor thought it would be best if I stayed over night so they can do more tests today to see if the mass is cancer or if it’s just trying to make more blood due to an autoimmune disease. If the mass is cancer then they can remove my spleen and the good thing is there are no other masses anywhere which means it hasn’t spread. The cost of the surgery would be anywhere $8,000 to $12,000 to remove my spleen and my momma has already spent almost $5,000 for my overnight stay. If they don’t need to remove my spleen I am still going to need treatment to remove my bladder stones and life long treatment for the autoimmune disease. I would say sell my spleen to pay for all these expenses, but it’s not healthy so I can’t do that. So here I am wondering if you would be so kind to help me out with a donation. No matter how small it is, it will make a difference. I still have many years of stealing your food, chasing wild life, and barking/howling at absolutely nothing left in me. I promise I will do my best to not put my family through this again, but hey after all I am a Murphy so I guess Murphy’s Law applies to me too! Thank you for reading my story. If you are not able to donate, if you could share my story so that it will be more visible I would be forever grateful!
