Support Casey Duckett's Stroke Recovery
Donation protected
My name is April Carlisle and I am a cousin to Casey Duckett.
On Sunday, August 25th, Casey suffered a Hemorrhagic Stroke. This is the worst kind of stroke to endure, and it occurred in the worst possible location of his brain. Statistically, only 10% of people survive these strokes, and most are never able to comprehend again. Casey is already beating the odds!
While he has lost function on the right side of his body, he is able to understand small commands. He is unable to speak at this time, but we remain hopeful.
Unfortunately, Casey does not have medical insurance. We have exhausted all outlets to get Casey an insurance plan, and we are still waiting for an answer from Medicaid, Medicare/Disability.
We found out on September 12th that the hospital is planning to send him home next week with no rehabilitation. The family knows that it is vital for Casey to have it in order to try and get back to some normalcy.
There are many things that have to be done in his parents' Terry & Lynn’s home to prepare for his homecoming and to seek out private therapy.
We are asking that if you feel led to help Casey and his family, please do so. It will be appreciated beyond measure. The most important thing is to continue praying for him.
We thank you.
