Three of our own, Casey, Mike, and Baloo, experienced an unimaginable tragedy on April 30th. There was an electrical fire at their home on James island, and our favorite boy Baloo was inside. There aren’t words big enough or meaningful enough to describe the loss of Baloo for Casey, and for our community. He was everyone’s favorite beach runner, drink stealer, and bar cuddler, and his presence is truly irreplaceable. His soul will always be resting in the sails of Chico feo looking down on all of his best pals. We love you Baloo

Casey and Mike also lost a majority of their belongings in the fire, and will be unable to live in their house for the foreseeable future. The Folly Beach community is indescribably special, and has been known for the way we show up for our people. We want to lighten the burden for Casey and Mike as much as we can right now, and if you’re able to send some help their way, it is deeply appreciated.
