Support Casey and Lorena's Baby Matias

Casey McCune and Lorena‘s baby Matias was born three months premature unexpectedly at home in Palenque, Mexico on Aug 5. He weighed 1.9 pounds at birth and will require several months of intensive care. Baby Matias was accepted at the children’s hospital in Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico, a 2 hour drive, which is better equipped for the care he will require. Casey and Lorena moved out of their place in Palenque this week so they could move near the hospital.

After a few emotional days, Casey wrote me that “after visiting Matias yesterday where I radiated love and positivity, sang to him and talked to him about what it will be like when he can leave the hospital, we got our daily update this morning from the doctor.” The doctors words were he’s improved so much since yesterday. ❤️

My son Casey is asking for your love, prayers, and support. Please help if you can and support them during this time while they spend the next several weeks focusing on caring for the baby. The unexpected move to Villahermosa and daily transportation to see the baby is a strain on their finances since neither can spend the time needed to generate the income they’ve been accustomed to.
