Dear Friends:
As many of you know, our beloved friends Casey and Lauri were injured in a terrible accident when their scooter was hit by a car in mid December in Washington, DC. Casey remains hospitalized with a very serious leg injury. Even today she underwent another surgery...her eighth to date and, unfortunately, not her last. We still aren't certain when she will be able to go home; but when she does, she will embark on a significant recovery process.
Casey and Lauri are navigating exactly what the financial impact on them will be; for now, we know that Casey and Lauri are facing an extended period of time without Casey's income.
The stress of the accident and its aftermath has been hard, even on these two very tough gals. We've set up this Go Fund Me to help defray some immediate expenses and lift just the tiniest bit of stress off their shoulders.
