Support Carter's Fight Against Retinoblastoma

My name is John, and I am starting this gofundme for my son’s medical bills and to help us with other expenses while he goes through treatment.
One of the happiest days of our lives came at the beginning of May, with the birth of our son Carter. 7 weeks later, it was followed up by quite possibly the worst day of our lives - hearing that our beautiful baby boy is being diagnosed with cancer.
The type of cancer Carter has is called Retinoblastoma. It is a rare childhood cancer, with only about 250 children born with it each year in the US. Retinoblastoma is largely described as tumors in the eye, but it can quickly spread to the brain if left untreated.
After doing some research and speaking with his doctors, we were hopeful that the cancer would be small and limited to one eye, but only days after his initial diagnosis, we found out he has tumors in both of his eyes. As a result, Carter has to undergo systemic chemotherapy to stop the spread.
We are currently traveling multiple times per week back and forth from the Worcester area to Boston for his treatment at the Jimmy Fund Clinic at Dana Farber. He has had a central line put in his chest to deliver his chemo and medications. We also need to follow up with a daily shot for his immune system, which is quite expensive.
At a minimum, we will be doing chemo for 6 months, but the follow-up care will last years.
Carter, our family and I appreciate any help.
