Carter was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma on December 18th, 2024. He has been through 5 rounds of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, 2 bone marrow transplants, and radiation. We spent 3 months in the hospital during his 2nd bone marrow transplant, and he was put on life support twice. We were told he would not survive. He was not able to complete treatment and has a 70% chance to relapse. He is still struggling with side effects from TMA but is still progressing.

When this journey started, Carter had the support of me and his dad. Now, I am a single mom trying to take care of his needs medically and financially. Carter is in remission and has scans every 3 months. Hopefully, they will keep coming back with great news, and he will be able to start school soon. He still has a long way to go but has come so far.
