Sweet baby Carter Lynn Jacobchick was born on October 8th, 2019at Children's Hospital in Denver and is the most beautiful baby girl! She weighs 5 pounds 12 ounces and is 18.5 inches long. For anyone that knows Kelsey and Matt they are the sweetest, funniest, and most kind couple you will ever meet! They have been so excited to bring Carter into the world and begin their journey into parenthood!
Carter was born with a Congenital Heart Defect called Pulmonary Atresia, which means the pulmonary valve never developed. The right side of Carter's heart is very small compared to the left side of heart, the right side of the heart is responsible for pumping blood to the lungs and in order to help her heart compensate she will need to have 3 surgeries throughout her life to reroute the blood that currently cannot reach her lungs on its own.
Carter is already a spunky, stubborn, and strong little babe ❤️ she will have her first surgery Monday and will stay at Children's Hospital in Denver for 2-3 weeks. Carter will have her next surgery when she is 4-6 months old, and then when she is between 2-3 years old. As you can imagine keeping Carter healthy and getting her the care she needs is extremely expensive. In addition to Carter's medical expenses, Matt and Kelsey have relocated to Denver until Carter is able to come home in order to be with her as much possible ❤️ Please consider donating to help Kelsey and Matt with the extremely overwhelming financial burden they face ahead.
