Hello friends,My name is Tina, and I’m stepping in to support a family that means the world to me. Michelle and Monty would never ask for help themselves, but they genuinely need it right now.Their son, Carson, has faced serious health challenges since he was a baby. After years of misdiagnoses, treatments, and costs insurance wouldn’t cover, he’s now been diagnosed with Superior Mesenteric Artery (SMA) Syndrome, Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome (MALS). These conditions are rare, cause excruciating pain, and are life-threatening. They’ve caused significant malnourishment and delayed healing. Carson also has chronic Lyme disease and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), which they now know have been underlying issues that were never diagnosed until recently. While these diagnoses are complex, they’ve finally brought answers and hope.A top specialist in California, known for his success with MALS and SMAS surgeries, has agreed to take Carson’s case. His robotic approach offers the best chance for healing with fewer complications. If all goes well, Carson could finally live without the constant pain that has held him back for so long.Michelle and Carson must remain in California for at least a month, and the recovery process is lengthy and uncertain. Unfortunately, their insurance has denied out-of-state coverage, suggesting a local surgeon who, admittedly, has no experience with these rare conditions. Monty, Michelle, and the specialist are appealing this decision, but the financial burden is overwhelming, even if the insurance approves coverage for the procedures.Which is why I’m asking for your help.
Every dollar will go directly towards Carson’s surgery, travel, housing, recovery expenses and the unpaid medical expenses this family has covered quietly for years. If you are able to donate share or send a message of encouragement, please know it means more than words can express.
Carson is a bright, kind young man who deserves relief and the chance to live a long healthy life. With your support we can make that happen.
With heartfelt thanks,
Tina
