If you’ve been on social media, you may have read about the heartbreaking loss of Carson, a 14-year-old from Lake Asbury, who passed away Thursday evening. Now that his mother has announced his loss, I am creating this GoFundMe for all those who have wanted to help. Carson was loved by everyone who knew him, and this tragedy has deeply affected our entire Lake Asbury community.

No parent should ever have to endure the loss of a child, and no family should have to face the emotional and financial burdens that follow such a devastating loss alone. Funds raised will help ease the financial burden of funeral and memorial expenses, time away from work, and other unexpected needs that may arise as the family focuses on grieving, healing, and being together.

Our boys met when Carson moved in across the lake. As each fished off their dock, they shouted back and forth a quick introduction and became fast friends, spending many days fishing together. Carson was a kind and well-mannered child, and his presence in my kitchen was always welcome. We love this entire family as our own, and Carson’s presence in our lives will always be cherished.  Megan and Dave, your boy is already so missed and will never be forgotten.
