Almost six years ago, my life completely changed when I developed Long Covid. What started as “just trying to recover” turned into a never-ending cycle of new symptoms, tests, and diagnoses. Since then, I’ve been fighting through severe fatigue, constant pain, headaches, and brain fog.

Over the years I’ve been diagnosed with ME/CFS, POTS, Orthostatic Hypotension, MCAS, mold toxicity, H. Pylori, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, Accomodative Infacility, microclots in my lungs, PVCs, Ascending Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm, degenerative disc disease... honestly, that’s just a portion of everything I’ve dealt with. Every system in my body has been affected, and each small step forward seems to come with new challenges.

I’ve done everything I can to keep going. I even started a small virtual assistant business so I could work from home and still contribute, even when my health wouldn’t allow for a traditional job. But the reality is that the medical costs not covered by insurance have become too much for me to handle alone.

Recently, I’ve been trying to get additional testing to satisfy the SSDI judge and prove how sick I really am. I finally found a doctor who is willing to look at the whole picture of my health and do the kinds of tests most doctors won’t even consider. Unfortunately, she’s out of network, and I’ve reached a point where I can’t continue her treatment plans or necessary testing without help.
