Help my sister get a wheelchair-accessible van

After more than 20 years of serving in the public school system, my sister — a beloved educator, colleague, mentor, and friend — is now facing one of the biggest challenges of her life.

She has been diagnosed with a rare degenerative muscle disease that has slowly taken away her mobility. As her condition progresses, her independence and ability to get around safely have become increasingly limited. What she needs now is something many of us take for granted: reliable transportation.

We are raising funds to help her purchase a wheelchair-accessible van, which would be life-changing. It would allow her to attend medical appointments safely, run errands with dignity, and — most importantly — continue being present in the lives of the people she loves and who love her back.

If you know my sister, you know she is pure light. She's kind. She's generous. She’s absolutely hilarious — the kind of person who lights up a room, lifts others up, and finds joy even in the hard moments. She has given so much to her community, her students, and her colleagues over the years. Now it’s our turn to give something back.

We are so grateful for any support you can offer — whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this campaign with others.

Thank you for helping us make her life a little easier, a little freer, and a lot more mobile
