After 44 incredible years at Cypress Cove Nudist Resort and 34 impactful years at the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR), Carolyn Hawkins is finally hanging up her...well, whatever it is you hang up after that long in naturism!

From cooking up a storm part-time in the food and beverage department, to scrubbing (and possibly judging) your hotel rooms in housekeeping, to making sure you had the best time at our activities—Carolyn has done it all at Cypress Cove. Over at AANR, she answered phones as a receptionist, managed PR like a pro, liaised with clubs, and even assisted in legal affairs, all while championing family-friendly naturism across countless newspapers, magazines, and video editorials. If you needed someone to explain why skinny-dipping isn’t a crime, Carolyn was your gal!

This summer, Carolyn was honored with the coveted AANR Hall of Fame Award, the Academy Award for Naturism, for her tireless work defending against unfair demonization. She's educated officials nationwide and stood tall for the cause—no tan lines, no regrets.

We want to give her the send-off she deserves! Join us on Friday, November 1st at 7:00 PM at Lakeside Restaurant (reservations suggested) to celebrate a lifetime of advocacy, friendship, and putting clothes on ONLY when absolutely necessary. We’ll be raising a toast (and probably a few eyebrows) in honor of her many achievements.
