Hello, my name is Carolyn Calhoun, and I am an honors student in the Hyundai College of Education at Savannah State University in Savannah, Georgia. I am honored to share that I currently hold the highest GPA in the College of Education, reflecting my dedication, discipline, and passion for becoming an impactful educator.
I have been selected for a student-teaching placement in Alaska, a rare and life-changing opportunity to serve in a unique educational environment while gaining hands-on experience working with diverse student populations, including Native Alaska communities.
This placement is unpaid, and due to the remote location, I am responsible for covering all costs associated with travel, housing, food, transportation, teaching materials, and essential winter gear.
I am raising funds to help make this opportunity possible so that I may focus fully on learning, teaching, and serving without financial barriers currently standing in the way.
This experience will prepare me to return home as a stronger, more culturally aware educator, ready to make a lasting impact on students and communities for years to come.
Thank you for supporting my journey and believing in the power of education. Every donation and share truly means more than you know.
