Support Carolyn Hove After Eaton Fire
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted members of our community,
With such devastation from the Eaton Fire, we are mourning the destruction of Altadena and surrounding communities. Carolyn Hove, Solo English Horn player for the LA Phil for 36 years, is displaced from her beloved home in Altadena with no knowledge of how much damage her home has received.
Although we are incredibly grateful that she and her little Abby (dog) are safe and their home is still standing (we hope), the uncertainty of what's to come is weighing heavily on her future.
For those who know Carolyn, her love for gardening and the outdoors is her lifeline. Her garden was her sanctuary and her little cottage was a special place so many of us who visited for backyard conversations, music studio lessons, and a place for support. Carolyn is always the first person many turn to for great advice and support in challenging times. Now it's our turn to support her.
In this challenging time, we are reaching out to our community for support. No donation is too small, and every contribution will make a world of difference for Carolyn and Abby. We kindly ask that you share this campaign with others in hopes that it brings healing and gives them a chance to get back on their feet after the fires.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and generosity. We are so grateful.
With gratitude,
Lindsey Lansburgh and Jobi McGuffie, former oboe students
