Hi, I’m Katy Swift, Carolyn’s teaching partner. I’m starting this fund to help one of the most dedicated educators and kindest souls I know.

Within a single week, Carolyn has faced a string of devastating misfortune: first, a fire in her front yard, followed immediately by her downstairs flooding. As a single mother with no family nearby and no financial support from her ex-husband, these consecutive emergencies have placed an impossible weight on her shoulders.

We are raising money specifically to cover her insurance deductibles and get her home back in order. Carolyn is always the first to give to others; now, we want to show up for her. Any contribution helps take the financial pressure off this amazing woman during an incredibly stressful time.
