Support Carol's Fight Against Pancreatic Cancer
Donation protected
With a lot of thought and consideration, we are asking for help as Carol undergoes the fight of her life!
After multiple hospitalizations and visits since November 2024, our mom was admitted at the ER on April 28, 2025. After 8 days in the hospital and countless scans/ tests, we were finally given a confirmed diagnosis of stage 4 pancreatic cancer metastasized to the lungs on May 7th - followed by a harsh median prognosis of 3 months with no treatment and 6 months to a year with chemotherapy treatment. This diagnosis, although grim, is not a death sentence, and has been beaten! We plan to add another survivor to that list!
We are currently seeking second opinions and alternative treatments in or outside of the country, some of which are upwards of $50k and none of which are covered by insurance. (Ie: Immunotherapy, IV infusions, Ozone infusions, sound therapy.. the list goes on)
Even with insurance, her medical bills and the cost of ongoing and future treatments are unfathomable. We’re asking for donations to assist with medical bills, treatment, travel and lodging to and from treatment, and any other expenses that may accrue in the process.
If any of you know Carol then we don’t even need to say anything about who she is as a person, for those that don’t.. she is one of the most loving and compassionate humans you’ll ever meet. She fills the room with smiles and joy as soon as she walks in, and loves everyone unconditionally! After losing her oldest daughter in a sudden accident in 2010, she joined the local Compassionate Friends group in Virginia. Shortly after, moved to Panama City, FL and quickly realized there were no local chapters close to her so she started her own and spent years heading up that chapter and helping countless others in navigating life after the loss of a child. She created and up kept a memorial garden in their community for the chapter before moving back to Virginia to be closer to her grandchildren. Words truly cannot express how much love and support she has given to others over the years.. so now it’s our turn to return the love and support as we stand beside her in this fight for her life!
A positive mindset and attitude going into this is half the battle, and she is the strongest woman we know, and a true warrior! A week after her diagnosis and after a few visits from family members, the first thing she said one morning to her son, Austin was “Is everyone coming to see me because they think I’m going to die? … I guess they’re all going to be surprised when I don’t then, huh! Because I’m not dying yet, I know how I feel!”
A mother, a grandmother, a wife, a sibling, a friend.. needs our help!
Anything helps, and support comes in many forms.. even if it’s a prayer, a loving thought of her filled with life and energy, a call to her to let her know you’re here with her as we walk this path of healing!
If you’d like to donate directly to Carol, her Venmo is
With much love and respect
