For over three decades, Carol has poured her heart and soul into Ice Cream & Pizza Works, Waxhaw’s oldest running restaurant since 1990. This beloved pizza shop has been more than just a place to eat—it’s been a community gathering spot, a place where memories are made, and where Carol has shared her love for cooking with everyone who walks through the doors.

But now, Carol is facing one of the toughest battles of her life. She’s fighting colon cancer, and the mounting medical bills, combined with rent for the shop, have put her in a difficult position. Despite her determination and passion for making pizzas, keeping the shop open has become an overwhelming challenge.
