Dear Family, Friends, and Online Social Media Contacts,

We, as a family, are requesting your support and assistance for our cousin, Carol Washington, and her family, who lost everything due to Hurricane Milton. The contents in their home and their family-owned funeral home business, which has been part of their lives for over 40 years in Plant City, Florida (Hillsborough County), were completely destroyed by the hurricane, which engulfed their home and business by over 4-5 feet deep with water. The cost for ServPro alone is $10,000 to remove all of the water out of the home.

Carol is so thankful for each of your prayers and any assistance you can give. She and all of us are most thankful to God for sparing their lives.

We are also grateful for the brave efforts of the Hillsborough County Fire and Rescue Team. They rescued Carol, her husband Tony, and her sister Karen. As a result, they were safely evacuated to a shelter until they were able to relocate with family.

This has been the most difficult experience they have had to face as individuals and as a family. It is simply overwhelming and a devastating loss.
