Hello! My name is Caroline Burke. I am a young actor and filmmaker about to graduate from The New School, and I am currently in pre-production for my final thesis film!

My business partner/cinematographer is Sidney Kuri Poor. She is a grad student at Columbia also working as a photographer/videographer.

Our film is entitled Blood, Sweat, and Tears. The film circles an actor, playing the role of a violent abuser, having trouble bringing authenticity to his character. We follow him as he works to elicit this aggression for his role, but at what cost?

Filmmaking is our favorite way to understand the human experience, intimately connect with the people/world around us, and do what we love most, tell compelling and moving stories.

However, to create in this industry you need money, and a lot of it.

As aspiring artists, it is hard to create/ get your work out there without a decent amount of funds. Funds to feed/pay your team, acquire necessary equipment/software/materials, transport said materials, book locations, and much more! That's where we ask for help! We have applied to multiple grants for financial support, but want to reach out for aid in any area that we can.

If you are able to, our team would deeply appreciate your donations. You would be helping fuel young artists gain expertise, build their portfolio, and express themselves creatively.
