I had to have emergency surgery for a perforated ulcer in my stomach that caused sepsis, and I’m currently in the hospital recovering.

Once I’m discharged, I’ll most likely need at least a week or so to rest before I can get back to work, especially since I work as a server in a restaurant. Unfortunately, I am also uninsured. Right before this happened, I was already recovering from a nasty ear infection that triggered Bell’s palsy, which means I’d already missed some work and had extra unexpected medical costs. Then my stomach decided to join the rebellion.

Long story short: I’m currently unable to work, recovering from surgery, and trying to keep up with rent and basic bills while my body sorts itself out. If you’re able to help, even a little, it would take a huge weight off.
