Hi everyone,

I never imagined I would have to write these words about my own mom. My mom, Carolina, was recently diagnosed with high-grade invasive ductal carcinoma (breast cancer) after a biopsy. Our family is still processing this unexpected and heartbreaking news, but we are coming together to support her through every step of this journey.

My mom is one of the strongest, most caring people I know. She has always been the person who helps others, puts her family first, and gives so much love without asking for anything in return. She has a heart that is always there for everyone, and now she needs us by her side.

She is beginning the next chapter of this fight, which includes more appointments, specialists, tests, and treatment decisions. While we know there will be challenges ahead, we also know how strong she is and how much love surrounds her.

Because my mom currently does not have health insurance, we are asking for help with the medical expenses and treatments she will face during this journey. We are still learning what her full treatment plan will be, but we want to make sure she has access to the care she needs.

We created this fundraiser to help ease the financial burden that comes with cancer — including medical expenses, treatments, medications, transportation, and other unexpected costs — so my mom can focus on healing and getting better.

Any amount of support, a share, or even a prayer means more to our family than words can express.

Nunca imaginé tener que escribir estas palabras sobre mi propia mamá. Mi mamá, Carolina, fue recientemente diagnosticada con carcinoma ductal invasivo de alto grado (cáncer de mama) después de una biopsia. Nuestra familia todavía está procesando esta noticia inesperada y muy dolorosa, pero nos estamos uniendo para apoyarla en cada paso de este camino.

Mi mamá es una de las personas más fuertes y más cariñosas que conozco. Siempre ha sido quien ayuda a los demás, pone a su familia primero y da muchísimo amor sin pedir nada a cambio. Tiene un corazón que siempre está presente para todos, y ahora ella nos necesita a su lado.

Está comenzando el siguiente capítulo de esta lucha, el cual incluye más citas médicas, especialistas, estudios y decisiones de tratamiento. Aunque sabemos que habrá desafíos por delante, también sabemos lo fuerte que es y cuánto amor la rodea.

Debido a que mi mamá actualmente no tiene seguro médico, estamos pidiendo ayuda para los gastos médicos y tratamientos que enfrentará durante este proceso. Aún estamos aprendiendo cuál será su plan de tratamiento completo, pero queremos asegurarnos de que tenga acceso a la atención que necesita.

Creamos esta recaudación de fondos para ayudar a aliviar la carga financiera que viene con el cáncer — incluyendo gastos médicos, tratamientos, medicamentos, transporte y otros costos inesperados — para que mi mamá pueda concentrarse en sanar y mejorar.
