My name is Rachel McCarthy. I am creating a space for friends and family to donate to my mother, Carol Walker's funeral expenses. This was unexpected and anything you'd like to donate to support as we navigate this would be greatly appreciated.
Carol B. Walker, 70 of Goshen, died Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Goshen Hospital.
She was born August 29, 1955 in Melrose Park, Illinois to George E. Walker and Winifred C. (Ludecke) Walker.
She is survived by four children, Rachel (Michael) McCarthy of Elkhart, Libby (Blake) Landin of Thornton, Colorado, Bret (Nga) Fishleigh of Vietnam and David Skivington.
Also surviving are four grandchildren, Callen, Nolan, Mia and Bao Han; a brother, Dennis Walker, and a sister, Nancy Habeggar.
Carol was a long-time educator. She made lasting friendships with fellow teachers, students, and Bible Study participants. She touched so many lives and was loved by so many. Everyone who met her became a beloved friend.
She enjoyed piecing quilts and placemats, baking cookies, reading, and doing crafts, especially with grandchildren.
Carol loved visiting family whether it be to the beach at Lake Michigan, or across the ocean to Vietnam, she was ready to be a part of everything.
Services will be held at a later date in Colorado. We will be updating you all on this.
