If you are or have been a part of the Terrapins Swim Team, a part of the local Contra Costa County summer recreational swimming community or a member of USA’s Pacific Swimming LSC, you know Carol Cottam. As a highly respected official and supportive friend of the sport, you have seen or volunteered with Carol on the pool deck spanning the last 40 years.

On March 16, Carol suffered a stroke while flying home from vacation in New Orleans and they did an emergency landing in Texas. She has been in the ICU in San Antonio receiving medical care and is currently stable, but suffering from complications affecting her right side. She faces a long road to recovery, extensive medical bills as well as additional costs to get her safely back to California.
