Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out to ask for your support during an incredibly challenging time for my family. My mom, Carol, is in need of a liver transplant, and I’m honored to be her living donor. Our surgery will take place in November, leaving us with limited time to prepare. While we are beyond grateful for this opportunity, the journey ahead will be difficult, both physically and financially.

The transplant will take place in Colorado, far from our home in New Mexico. My mom will need to spend about three months in Colorado to recover, and I will be there with her for a few weeks post-surgery for my own recovery. During this time, I’ll also be away from my kids, which adds to the emotional and logistical challenges.

We’re facing significant expenses, including travel and lodging for myself, my mom, and our support system, as well as additional costs that come with being away from home and caring for our family while we recover. My mom faces a particularly long and challenging recovery, and she will need all the support she can get to ensure her bills are taken care of during this difficult time.
