Support Carol and Family

Our family wanted to share with family members, friends, and others what my sister-in-law, Carol Gurrola, has been battling over the last few years.  Carol had successfully beaten breast cancer, but in just the last month, she was faced with another terrible challenge, this time with uterine cancer.  After having an initial surgery for the uterine cancer, her outlook was promising.  Unfortunately, just last week, Carol was rushed to San Francisco with complications when additional tumors were discovered.

Carol and her husband, Jerry have four children together.  They both hold full-time jobs and have dedicated themselves to raising their family.  The two of them have attempted to shield the children and family members from the seriousness of Carol's current medical condition.  

Jerry and Carol have worked together to stay strong.  They continue to lift one another up, when the other no longer has the strength to stay positive. We are so proud of both of them.  We admire their strength and committment to their family and to one another.  

The hardships of the past few years have taken a toil on them financially.  They have been hit with many extra expenses and loss of wages during these battles.  Carol is currently receiving treatment in San Francisco, approximately 45-60 minutes from their home in Santa Rosa.  Our brother is a very proud and private individual, and would not consider doing this for himself and his family.  We felt compelled to reach out to family and friends to request any possible support we can offer this wonderful woman and her family during this trying time.

We are all hoping for the best possible outcome and would appreciate  your prayers for Carol and her family.
