Beloved Pinecrest School Teacher Endures Medical Tragedy

Please read the following testimony from Carmen's Family and note that your contributions will go to Carmen and her husband, Sam:

Carmen Molina has been a teacher at Pinecrest Elementary for over 25 years and has absolutely loved every moment. She recently experienced a devastating medical crisis that has profoundly impacted our family. She developed a severe case of septic shock, a life-threatening condition caused by an overwhelming infection that spread throughout her body. Despite immediate and aggressive medical intervention, the infection led to multiple organ failures and critical complications.

In an effort to save her life, doctors were forced to make the heart-wrenching decision to amputate multiple limbs. This drastic measure was necessary to prevent the infection from spreading further and to give her a chance at survival. The surgeries were successful in stabilizing her condition, but the road to recovery will be long and arduous.

Carmen is currently in the hospital, receiving round-the-clock care from a dedicated team of medical professionals. The recovery process will involve extensive rehabilitation, physical therapy, and the adaptation to prosthetic limbs. In addition to the immediate medical expenses, she will require ongoing support to navigate this new reality and regain as much independence as possible.

The emotional and financial toll on our family is immense. We are reaching out to our community for support to help cover the overwhelming medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and necessary modifications to her living environment to accommodate her new needs.
