With broken hearts, we mourn the tragic and sudden passing of Carmen Lynne Wells of St. Johns, Newfoundland and Labrador. Carmen got her wings on September 22, 2023.
Carmen was 41 years young, recently newlywed to her beloved husband Cory Wells—her partner of seven perfect years. Carmen was a mother to nine children:
Paityn 14, Rhylan 16, Shakira 17, Dylan 18, Brayden 18, Mercedes 21, Alix 21, Justice 22, and Tayler 23.
If you knew Carmen, you knew how hard she loved, how fiercely she cared, and how much compassion she had for every single person in her life. They say the good ones go young, which could not be more true. She was taken from us way too soon, and we might never understand why, but we take some comfort in knowing that she did what she was here to do.
Carmen was the strongest woman you could ever meet and had so much love in her heart. She shared that love with her family, her loving husband, all of her children and everyone else she held dear. There’s so much to be said about her, but words could never truly express how much we all loved her, and she loved us. She was a daughter, a sister, a best friend, a mother, a wife and so much more to so many people— more than we could ever truly know.
Without warning, Carmen suffered a aneurism requiring emergency surgery, leaving her in a coma from which she tragically never awoke.
The shock of Carmen’s passing has devastated the entire family, and we are creating this GoFundMe page to help support Cory and Carmen’s young kids as they learn to navigate the coming days without her.
The funds will go towards living expenses (7,000), grief relief fund (4,000), and the children’s education fund (20,000).
