Funds are being raised to honor the life of Carmen, a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose love and presence meant everything to her family. She was the heart of her family, always putting others before herself and giving endlessly with kindness, strength, and unconditional love. After becoming seriously ill, she passed away, leaving behind a deep and heartbreaking loss that words cannot fully capture. Carmen is survived by her two children, Valerie (19) and Alex (20), who are now facing the pain of losing their mother while trying to navigate work, school, and adulthood at such a young age. In the midst of this loss, it has been incredibly difficult to continue with everyday responsibilities and plans they had been working toward, as their focus has shifted to supporting one another and their family during this unimaginable time. The funds raised will help cover funeral and burial expenses and fulfill Carmen’s wishes to be cremated and laid to rest alongside her father. This support will help ease the immediate burdens and allow her family to grieve, heal, and honor Carmen’s life with the dignity and peace she deserves.
